What We Delivered
Prestonsburg is a big adventure packed in a small community. There’s a ton for folks to love: Hiking, mountain biking, paddling, music and art.
The problem
Who are you, again?
When you’re building a cohesive brand, the trick is to keep your voice and look the same across all means of communication so people can recognize who you are. So, Prestonsburg Tourism partnered with P&P to develop a unified marketing approach across both print and digital media.
The inspiration
Well, that was a fun surprise
Prestonsburg is a small community. A visitor might not expect all the adventures that can be had in this Eastern Kentucky town. Once you get there, you get it. This inspired the “Expect the Unexpected” theme on which P&P built the brand story. Gorgeous outdoor images of elk sightings and kayaking on the Big Sandy River inspired tones of gold, red, blue and green that complemented Prestonsburg’s existing logo.

Strategy & Tactics
Feeling cute, might get social
P&P carried the message over to Instagram and Facebook, building branded images, crafting posts and creating advertising campaigns that generated awareness and excitement about Prestonsburg. Through this engagement, we increased Prestonsburg Tourism’s Facebook followers by nearly 1,200 and Instagram followers by 300, with the goal of promoting engagement and participation.
Using design, copywriting and bold new photography, we told this story through a new travel guide, social media strategy and advertising materials.
