What We Delivered
The Morehead Tourism Commission draws in visitors from all over the country to enjoy the scenery, adventures, food and fun in Rowan County, Kentucky

Needing Directions
When Morehead Tourism and P&P first began their partnership, the tourism group’s marketing efforts were disjointed and the website was incomplete and was not optimized for mobile devices.

Enjoying the View
Morehead Tourism wanted to capture the heritage of the region, the lake and abundant trails, making the community the focus instead of the commission.
Strategy & Tactics
Leading Adventures
P&P created a cohesive marketing strategy for Morehead Tourism that increased visitors. During the rebranding process, we created a call-to-action in the logo: “Visit Morehead.”
A symbol resembling a quilt pattern of the water and hills in the region tied the community’s heritage and nature in a unique way together in a unique way.
New photography in the travel guide showed people enjoying many different adventures in Morehead. Copy delivered clear calls-to-action, driving website visitors to learn more about the area and visit.
Thirty- and 60-second videos feature visitors kayaking, biking, hiking and enjoying local eateries.
The final touch on this campaign was the creation of the #more2morehead hashtag, encouraging people to share their experiences on social media and showing the wide range of attractions in this Kentucky community.
Morehead Tourism is now in a creative partnership with P&P. We provide annual support for both digital and print creative strategy, and work closely with staff to build a cohesive brand message that attracts visitors year-round.

Since engaging with P&P in 2014, the commission has seen a 20% increase in revenue and brought home 14+ KTIA Traverse Awards, including Judge’s Choice for its #more2morehead campaign that included print, web, social media and video.
